Job Description And Duties
Under the direction of the Supervisor I, the California Security Printer Unit (SPU) Analyst I performs a wide variety of analytical assignments relating to the SPU. The Analyst I provides guidance and outreach to approved security printers, analyzes and processes security printer applications, maintains files of approved security printers, investigates regulatory inquiries, performs audits and prepares reports on audit findings, advises law enforcement on the statutory and regulatory requirements of SPU, and routinely updates the SPU internet website to ensure information is accurate and current.
The Analyst I performs SPU rule making assignments in support of the Analyst II and serves as a subject matter expert working independently or with others performing a wide variety of consulting and analytical assignments. The Analyst I also supports the Special Projects Unit of the Program Services Section, and other areas of the CURES Program, as needed.

This position is located in the California Justice Information Services Division, Justice Data and Investigative Services Bureau, Controlled Substance Utilization, Review and Evaluation System CURES Program, Program Services Section, California Security Printer Unit.
