Job Description and Duties

Under the general direction of the Supervisor I, the incumbent will perform complex analytic work associated with the operation of the Property Tax Postponement (PTP) Program.

Duties Performed:

  • Perform intake duties for PTP applications, including researching applicant information and data entry of accounts in various databases.
  • Research, review applications, and determine claimant eligibility for the PTP program; review complex eligibility documentation and prepare requests for legal opinion for complicated ownership issues.
  • Conduct research and analysis on accounts that are due and payable.
  • Consult and communicate with debtors and/or representatives to facilitate resolution on long‑standing payment delinquency issues.
  • Provide analytical services for writing PTP policies, desk procedures, legislative bill analysis, or other projects as necessary.
  • Communicate orally and in writing to questions from legal representatives, tax collectors, and the general public regarding the PTP program.
