Job Description And Duties

Position is located in the Sacramento Field Office.

Under general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator I and with minimal supervision, the Tax Technician (TT) III serves as an expert staff resource responsible for a full range of escrow duties including the most difficult and complex technical duties. The TT III Escrow is responsible for ensuring the field office escrow accounts and clearances are handled on a timely basis which includes but is not limited to, processing escrow clearance requests, evaluating available data, obtaining additional data, advising taxpayers and other professionals, and preparing demands, withholds, and/or releases.

Under Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.

Current salary program:
All California Department of Tax and Fee Administration salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California’s Personal Leave Program.
