This position may work up to 1500 hours per year/in a 12 consecutive month period.
The reporting location for this position is California Natural Resources Agency Building located at 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.
Under the direction of the Procurement Supervisor (SSM I), the incumbent, will independently perform the more difficult, complex, and technical work in support of the department's Procurement Unit for IT and Non-IT goods and services. All tasks are performed in accordance with the Procurement Unit's policies and procedures, utilizing peer resources, the State Contracting Manuals (SCMs), State Administrative Manual (SAM), Government Code (GC), Public Contract Code (PCC), Procurement Unit Memorandums, Broadcast Bulletins, State Contract Advisory Network meetings, Procurement Unit Desk Manuals, the Financial Information System for California (Fi$cal), Email, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Analyst I will also be considered for recruitment purposes. Training and Development Assignments may be considered.

Desirable QualificationsIn addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and present ideas and information in writing and orally
- Demonstrated ability to provide assistance to program as it relates to procurement requests
- Demonstrated ability to act independently and exercise a high degree of initiative in performing tasks
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize assignments
- Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely
- Understanding of the State Contracting Manuals and State Administrative Manual
