Public Land Management Specialist IV

This is the advance journey specialist level under the general direction of the Public Land Manager I. The Public Land Management Specialist IV (PLMS IV) within the Land Management Division, independently investigate, appraise rent, negotiate, and provide advice on the full spectrum of the most complex land title, land, or real property management matters; serve as a technical advisor to the executive staff on land title and land management issues;

serve as expert witness in litigation and represent the State Lands Commission (Commission). Will typically specialize in one area of public resource management but must be knowledgeable in a wide variety of resource management areas such as Public Trust resource law, riparian biology, sovereign land titles and boundaries, resource and real estate economics, California history and geography, environmental law and processes, resource planning, commercial law, and resource valuation.

This position is required to have a valid CA driver's license and operate a vehicle on official State business.
