Taxpayers' Rights Advocate
Under the administrative direction of the Administrative Services Division Chief, The Taxpayers' Rights Advocate (TRA) is the external face of the Franchise Tax Board (FTB) for all taxpayer related issues. The incumbent directs all activities relating to the Advocate Program, including identifying and resolving the most significant and sensitive issues affecting taxpayers. The incumbent's primary job function is to ensure that the FTB protects the rights of taxpayers throughout the administration.
One of the foundational principals which supports FTB's mission and guides our work, is to ensure that our business is conducted in accordance with the Taxpayers' Bill of Rights.
