Day Programs Direct Care Support Staff

Attleboro Enterprises, Inc. (AEI) serves the residential and day program needs of adult individuals with developmental disabilities and vocational rehabilitative services in southeastern MA.

The Day Programs Direct Care Support Staff is responsible for providing support to all day programs that include CBDS, CBDS without walls, and North Attleboro and Mansfield Day Habilitation programs when needed. The schedule may change daily or weekly. Must be willing to learn and adapt to each day program’s daily schedule.

Responsibilities include:

• Encouraging individual independence in the area of employment and community involvement based on the individuals’ choices and interests.
• Providing transportation and support in areas such as therapeutic and personal living skills.
• Fostering the development of social relationships.
• Transporting program participants to and from daily activities in the community; extensive driving will be required while working in the Community Based Day Services without Walls program.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. If working in the CBDSW program, the starting time begins at 7:30 a.m.

Starting pay is $23.00 per hour.

• High School Diploma and a minimum of one year’s work experience in a mental health or developmental disability setting.
• Ability to comprehend and write English at a traditional Grade 12 level.
• MAP certification required or willingness to obtain certification in the first month of hire.
• Physically capable of transferring adults of adult weight range to and from wheelchairs or other adaptive equipment.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• An acceptable CORI, DPPC, LEIE and fingerprint check.
