Key responsibilities:

• Administer physical therapy treatments (active, passive, restorative, resistive) to patients in a correctional facility under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive.
• Interpret the significance of physical therapy services to patients and maintain clear communication.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws, regulations, and departmental policies pertaining to the physical therapy program.
• Maintain order, supervise conduct of incarcerated individuals, and safeguard the safety of persons, property, and security of work areas and materials.

Minimum qualifications:

• Legal requirement to practice physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board.
• Demonstrated commitment to the mission and values of CDCR and CCHCS.
• Ability to pass the candidate assessment exam outlined by Cal Careers.
