Position: HEALTH PROGRAM SPECIALIST II

Overview

Health Care Financing Specialist II (Hybrid Option) – Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $7,276.00 – $9,107.00 per month (CalHR minimum
Salary for New to State candidates will be the minimum of the classification or
alternate range if applicable).

Location:

Sacramento County, Hybrid telework option (up to three days per week).

Under the Manager II, the HPS II provides coordination and technical program assistance for
planning, implementation and evaluation of health care policies related to the Federally Qualified
Health Centers (FQHC) and Rural Health Center (RHC) programs. The role functions as a technical
policy consultant and specialist for reimbursement policy development.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and provide technical assistance to develop, implement and evaluate FQHC/RHC reimbursement policies.
  • Act as a specialist and advisor on complex and sensitive policy matters within the Section.
  • Provide policy guidance and consultative advice to staff and external partners.
  • Support monitoring, analysis and reporting of program performance and policy impact.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant federal and state regulations, program requirements, and best practices.
