  • Driving the expansion and integration of toptier clinical services offered by the Department.
  • Motivating and supporting faculty, staff, and trainees with a strong emphasis on professional growth and the recruitment of outstanding talent.
  • Overseeing the Department's research enterprise while mentoring investigators and promoting collaboration across disciplines.
  • Ensuring rigorous performance and quality oversight for all clinical providers, fostering a culture rooted in trust, transparency, and accountability, and striving for excellence in clinical outcomes.
  • Upholding the highest standards in the Department's educational programs and those it supports across the institution.
  • Building and strengthening strategic partnerships across the SOM, UC Davis Health, and the wider community to align clinical and research initiatives with institutional goals.
  • Managing departmental finances and longterm sustainability through responsible budgeting and resource stewardship.
