Summary

The Human Resources Manager at Pacific Seafood plays a critical role in supporting organizational success by serving as the dedicated HR business partner for assigned Distribution branch locations or business unit(s). In this role, the position aligns people strategies with operational priorities, compliance requirements, and the overall team member experience for those locations. Responsibilities include attracting and retaining talent, guiding performance management processes, strengthening team member engagement, fostering positive team relations, analyzing workforce data, and ensuring compliance with applicable leave and employment policies within the assigned area of responsibility.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, relationship oriented, analytical, and highly organized. As a strategic partner to operations, the HR Manager enhances team member capability and operational effectiveness while upholding Pacific Seafood’s Diamond Philosophy of Teamwork, Productivity, Quality, and Excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
    Manage the full‑cycle recruitment process, partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop talent and recruiting strategies, and oversee the onboarding process to ensure a positive and engaging new‑hire experience.
  • Team Member Relations:
    Serve as a trusted business partner and advisor, conduct fair and thorough investigations, identify trends, provide guidance to prevent escalation, and support retention and engagement activities such as focus groups and surveys.
  • Performance Management, Training and Leadership Development:
    Support performance management and succession planning, lead the annual performance review process, partner on development plans, assess training needs, and facilitate development programs to enhance leadership capability.
  • Compliance and Policy Administration:
    Ensure compliance with organizational policies, state and federal employment laws, partner with benefits teams on leave processes, and support workers’ compensation claims and return‑to‑work coordination.
  • HR Operations & Data Management:
    Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, create reports and Power BI dashboards, maintain HRIS data integrity, support payroll processes, and analyze compensation data.
Education And Experience
  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in an HR Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Manager‑level role.
  • Preferred:
    • Master’s degree in HR or related discipline.
    • Previous HR experience in a manufacturing, processing, or distribution environment.
    • Bilingual written, verbal, and reading skills in English and Spanish.
    • HR certification such as SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SE, PHR, or SPHR.
Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary work, walking and standing required only occasionally.

  • Talking: exchanging ideas verbally at normal speaking levels.

  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions
  • Office and warehouse environments.
