Overview
Our client, well-known established company, is now looking for their Application Support Engineer.
Responsibilities- Application Monitoring & Maintenance
:
System Monitoring – Continuously checking application performance and health;
Patch Management – Applying software updates and security patches to keep the system secure and up-to-date;
Database Maintenance – Optimizing and managing databases to ensure data integrity and performance. - Incident Response
:
Providing immediate support and resolution for technical issues or system failures;
Troubleshooting – Identifying the root cause of bugs or performance bottlenecks;
Bug Fixing – Developing and deploying code fixes to resolve software defects. - User Support & Operations
:
User Support / Help Desk – Assisting end-users with functional queries and technical difficulties;
Account Management – Managing user access, permissions, and authentication (/Password resets). - Change Request Management
:
Evaluating and documenting requests for new features or modifications. - Deployment / Release Management
:
Planning and executing the rollout of new software versions.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support and operations support.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily office-based in an air-conditioned environment.
- Occasional minor business travel may be required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
