Position Summary
Under direct supervision, Applications Engineer I provides technical support and application guidance to customers and internal teams by assisting with product configuration, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting. This role focuses on learning product functionality, application use cases, and customer requirements while supporting more experienced engineers on customer engagements and technical projects.
Essential Functions- Assist customers and internal teams with product selection, configuration, and application setup
- Support troubleshooting of basic to moderately complex application issues
- Assist in evaluating product performance in customer applications
- Support system integration and validation activities
- Assist in creating and maintaining:
- Application notes
- Technical presentations
- Test reports and datasheets
- Document customer requirements, test results, and issue resolutions
- Update internal knowledge bases and application guidelines
- Provides follow-up support in disseminating technical information on specific applications (Essential)
- Complies with EBARA's safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training (Essential)
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara and customer safety policies (Essential)
- The ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level.
- The ability to perform the identified essential functions of the classification, including the operation of any machinery and/or equipment that is associated with performing the essential functions.
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the position in a cross-cultural, demanding, and dynamic environment.
- The ability to perform the essential functions of the position without posing a direct threat of harm to him/herself, others, or property.
- The ability to adhere to EBARA personnel policies and practices, including the attendance and punctuality requirements.
- The ability to work well under pressure, meet multiple and sometimes competing deadlines, and at all times demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical preferred) or equivalent experience.
- One (1) to Four (4) years of work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Technical curiosity and willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Time management and organizational skills
- Professional and customer-focused mindset
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
