Under the general direction of IT management, the Senior IT Project Manager will plan, execute, and finalize assigned projects according to project deadlines and within budget. This includes leading necessary resources and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to plan. Provides enterprise-level leadership for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints.

This role is accountable for cross-functional coordination, risk management, and governance to drive successful outcomes across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Provide strategic leadership in defining project scope, objectives, success metrics, and deliverables in partnership with senior leadership and key business and clinical stakeholders. Ensure clear, consistent communication of expectations, priorities, and outcomes across all levels of the organization.
  • Direct end-to-end delivery of complex IT initiatives, maintaining accountability for governance, execution, and outcomes across all project phases, including:
  • Establish and manage integrated project plans, timelines, and milestone schedules
  • Monitor progress against deliverables, proactively addressing risks, issues, and performance gaps
  • Define status reporting cadence and content; analyze results, surface insights, and drive corrective actions
  • Set meeting strategy and cadence; ensure effective facilitation, decision capture, and documentation
  • Anticipate, mediate, and resolve cross-functional issues and team conflicts to maintain momentum
  • Identify, manage, and optimize project dependencies and critical path activities
  • Forecast resource needs and partner with leadership to secure and optimize appropriate staffing
  • Develop and present executive-level updates, business cases, requirements documentation, and stakeholder communications
  • Lead change control processes, proactively managing scope evolution, risk escalation, and contingency planning Conduct post-implementation reviews and deliver actionable recommendations to improve future project performance.
  • Maintain ongoing executive and stakeholder engagement, providing transparent communication on progress, risks, dependencies, and barriers to success
  • Ensure high-quality requirements delivery by overseeing the development and transmission of complete, accurate documentation to vendors and internal teams to support configuration, development, and implementation activities.
  • Provide oversight and accountability for IT vendors and partners, ensuring contractual commitments, timelines, and deliverables are met and aligned with organizational standards and expectations.
  • Lead and govern testing and release management activities, ensuring solutions meet quality, performance, and operational readiness standards prior to deployment.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in the assessment of current-state workflows—both electronic and manual—to identify gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of future-state workflows, driving process efficiency, standardization, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Advise and support leadership in change management and adoption strategies related to new workflows, systems, and operational processes.
  • Maintain fiscal accountability for project budgets, ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and alignment with approved financial plans.
