QE Automation Lead

We are currently hiring for a QE Automation Lead role focused on building and leading shared quality engineering and automation practices across multiple enterprise systems.

Details:
Strong Retail, Java automation required with Selenium

- Duration: 12-month Contract-to-Hire

- Conversion:
This role will convert to a full-time employee (FTE) role after 12 months

- Location Preference:

1st preference:
Onsite in Sacramento, CA

2nd preference:
Onsite in SF Bay Area

Candidates will be reviewed in that order

Candidates from other parts of the country are acceptable if they are willing to permanently relocate, as this is intended to become an FTE role after 12 months

- Rate: DOE - competitive rates; please provide best rates

Key Responsibilities:

- Define automation strategy across API, integration, workflow, and regression testing

- Build release-certification standards and production-quality feedback loops

- Lead automation for pricing, payments, and integration-heavy environments

- Mentor engineering and QA teams on reusable automation and quality standards

Requirements:

- 8+ years in QA engineering or software test automation

- Strong experience with API validation, CI/CD integration, SQL validation, and service orchestration

- Experience leading shared QE functions and automation initiatives in JAVA environment

- Strong java coding from an automation perspective

- Must have at least 3 years in a Lead or Engineering Management role

- Retail experience
