Position Overview

Eclipse Integrated Systems is seeking an experienced Technology Support Engineer to join our K-12 Technology Leadership Team supporting a premier independent school in Sacramento, California.

This is a full-time onsite position responsible for providing day-to-day technology support for faculty, staff, and students while serving as the primary onsite technology resource for the school community.

This is not a standalone role.

The successful candidate will be supported by Eclipse's broader team of technology professionals, including:

  • Cybersecurity Specialists
  • Help Desk Resources
  • Project Management Resources
  • Application Specialists
  • Fractional Technology Leadership

The onsite Technology Support Engineer will focus on building relationships, supporting users, managing school technology systems, coordinating projects, and ensuring the daily success of technology operations while leveraging the expertise of the larger Eclipse team for advanced technical support, infrastructure projects, cybersecurity, and strategic initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities End User Support
  • Provide exceptional onsite support for faculty, staff, and students.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printing, and classroom technology issues.
  • Assist users with educational applications and cloud services.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding of employees and students.
  • Provide technology assistance during school events as needed.
Apple Device Administration
  • Manage and support Apple Mac Books, iPads, Apple TVs, and related Apple technologies.
  • Administer Apple School Manager.
  • Manage device enrollment, provisioning, and lifecycle management.
  • Deploy applications, profiles, policies, and updates through Jamf.
  • Assist with device inventory, refresh cycles, collection, and redeployment.
  • Support annual student device deployment and collection programs.
Educational Technology Support
  • Support educational technology platforms used by faculty and students.
  • Assist with Student Information Systems and Learning Management Systems.
  • Support classroom technology and instructional technology initiatives.
  • Work with faculty to resolve technology issues impacting teaching and learning.
  • Assist with annual student promotions, graduations, and rollover procedures.
Technology Operations
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories and documentation.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers.
  • Participate in technology projects and summer initiatives.
  • Escalate advanced issues to Eclipse engineering resources when appropriate.
  • Assist with testing, implementation, and deployment of new technologies.
Required Qualifications Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of professional technology support experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of Apple device administration experience.
  • Previous experience working in a K-12 school, independent school, college, university, or educational technology environment.
  • Experience supporting faculty, staff, and students.
  • Experience working within a one-to-one device environment.
Required Technical Skills
  • Hands‑on experience administering Apple devices in a managed environment.
  • Experience using Jamf for Apple device management.
  • Experience using Apple School Manager.
  • Experience supporting macOS and iPadOS.
  • Experience supporting Google Workspace and/or Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with device deployment, enrollment, and inventory management.
