Job Summary

  • Leads or contributes to determination and implementation of appropriate solutions.
  • Performs needs assessment for training solutions to ensure users of technology are effectively prepared.
  • Contributes to development and delivery of training as needed.
  • Leads development of data standards where needed to achieve system goals.
  • Collaborates with vendors and enterprise-wide information technology as needed to pursue and support initiatives and ongoing system use.
  • Manages and participates in affiliate-specific and system-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Acts as mentor/coach to provide an informative, positive resource for solicited or unsolicited advice on performing work responsibilities.
Responsibilities
  • Acts as mentor/coach for analysts to provide an informative, positive resource for solicited or unsolicited advice on performing work responsibilities.
  • Leads assessment of business process or information needs and determination of potential technology solutions to meet those needs. Works with process owners and staff to improve these processes and/or understand functionality as needed.
  • Proactively audits and documents current processes and makes recommendations to improve processes or request system changes and enhancements as needed.
  • Acts as primary intermediary in identification and correction of problems.
  • Leads aspects of implementation of technologies, including development of implementation plan, testing schedule, user documentation, and training materials.
  • Develops, maintains, and monitors best-practices documentation and/or user guides to ensure users of technologies are prepared and encouraged to effectively and consistently use the products.
  • Provides ongoing technology functional support to staff and users across the system. This support may extend to other departments that rely on employee information and processes.
  • Functions as the subject matter expert for the user community for technologies or data and provides high-level customer service to improve/ease their use of the systems where applicable. Presents at or participates in user group meetings for technologies managed.
  • Proactively identifies quality assurance functions to ensure data integrity. Identifies processes, fields, and activities to be monitored for efficient processing, reduced rework, and minimization of erroneous data to ensure accurate reporting and data usage by other functions.
  • After identifying trends of erroneous or inconsistent uses of technologies, proactively develops and delivers directed training and/or documentation to address the misuse.
  • Documents and assesses impacts of interfaces of systems with other software products.
  • Leads analysis for interfaces joining disparate systems to meet a business need.
  • Assists with building, testing, and implementing interfaces.
  • Takes leadership role in ensuring specifications are accurate, data files continue to match those specifications, and resolving any issues that may occur with interface(s).
  • Leads testing of existing interfaces to ensure they are fully operational when vendor systems are upgraded, modified, or enhanced.
  • Provides training to users on systems.
Requirements
  • 3 – 5 years of Workday Benefits experience
  • General understanding of various computerized information process flows and impact between the HRIS, Benefits, Compensation, Employment, and Payroll areas.
  • Strong understanding of technology concepts, database structure, operations, and administration.
  • Knowledge of report development and design.
  • Knowledge of HR, Benefit, and Payroll laws, regulations, procedures, and operations (required if technical experience is limited).
  • Ability to specify user requirements, interacting with technical users, healthcare staff, and vendors, and to document user needs, outcomes, and procedures.
  • Training and large-group (e.g.,
  • user groups) facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powe
  • Point, and HRIS systems and applications.
  • Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
