The Case Management Information and Payrolling System (CMIPS) project operates a system for the In‑Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Program, collaborating with the California Department of Social Services. It manages case management for over 885,000 active recipients and supports more than 795,000 eligible providers. CMIPS processes over 1.72 million timesheets monthly, ensuring timely payroll payments exceeding $20 billion annually.
Under the general direction of the CMIPSApplications and Business Solutions Team Manager (IT Sup II), the Technical Business/Systems Analyst serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in evaluating the business impacts of technology across current and future operational environments. The role functions in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility setting that requires managing shifting priorities while supporting complex, mission‑critical business processes and systems.
