Overview

The Vice President, Technology & AI Enablement serves as the organization's senior technology leader, responsible for the strategy, security, performance, and evolution of technology across Sacramento Basketball Holdings and its portfolio of teams and venues, including the Sacramento Kings, Stockton Kings, Sacramento River Cats, Golden 1 Center, and Sutter Health Park.

This executive will lead enterprise technology operations while driving the responsible adoption of AI, automation, and emerging technologies that improve employee productivity, organizational effectiveness, fan engagement, and business performance. As a strategic partner to executive leadership, the Vice President will ensure technology investments support long-term organizational goals while delivering secure, reliable, and innovative experiences for employees, partners, and fans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a multi-year technology and AI roadmap aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Serve as the primary technology advisor to executive leadership, providing guidance on innovation, risk, cybersecurity, and technology investments.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing technology team focused on service, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish governance, operating standards, and performance metrics that drive organizational alignment and execution.
AI Enablement, Governance & Adoption
  • Lead the organization's AI strategy, governance, and adoption efforts across all departments.
  • Establish policies, standards, and best practices for the responsible and secure use of AI technologies.
  • Partner with business, basketball, and venue leaders to identify and implement high-impact AI and automation opportunities.
  • Drive employee enablement through training, change management, and adoption programs.
  • Measure and communicate the business impact of AI and automation initiatives.
Enterprise Technology & Cybersecurity
  • Oversee enterprise infrastructure, applications, cloud platforms, networks, collaboration tools, and end-user technology.
  • Ensure the availability, performance, scalability, and security of systems supporting business operations, team operations, and venues.
  • Lead cybersecurity, identity management, data protection, incident response, business continuity, and disaster recovery programs.
  • Maintain technology governance across all organizational systems, applications, vendors, and platforms.
Team, Venue & Fan Technology
  • Provide strategic oversight of technology supporting the Sacramento Kings, Stockton Kings, Sacramento River Cats, and all organization venues.
  • Ensure reliable technology operations for NBA, NBA G League, MLB, MiLB, and special events.
  • Partner with marketing, ticketing, partnerships, and venue operations to enhance fan engagement, personalization, and revenue-generating digital experiences.
  • Support major venue, infrastructure, and technology modernization initiatives
Data, Innovation & Organizational Change
  • Partner with Business Intelligence leadership to support data platforms, governance, and analytics capabilities.
  • Advance automation and emerging technologies that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.
  • Lead organizational change management efforts related to technology, AI, and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation while ensuring responsible technology adoption across the organization.
  • Develop and manage the technology budget and long-range investment strategy.
  • Evaluate and prioritize technology investments based on business value, risk, and return on investment.
  • Oversee strategic technology vendor relationships, contracts, and service agreements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, including responsibility for enterprise infrastructure, cybersecurity, applications, and technology operations.
