Information Technology Associate

Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Associate (ITA) serves as the Security Operations Associate. The ITA assists in the implementation, administration, configuration, operation, and maintenance of security technologies and processes. The incumbent helps monitor and protect technology systems and networks, identifies potential risks, and supports routine security tasks necessary for maintaining an effective security posture.

Work is performed in alignment with Department of Developmental Services policies and Statewide standards.

Effective July 1, 2025, State employees are subject to a salary reduction of three percent in exchange for five hours per month of the Personal Leave.

Work is performed in an open‑office environment with partitioned work spaces. Extended use of computer systems and related technology. Availability for 24/7 on‑call and weekend support as required. Occasional travel for business‑related activities.

Under Government Code 14200, this position is a hybrid, in‑office/telework position, and may be subject to change. Incumbent can be required to report to the office, or any designated location at any time. Telework agreements can be modified and/or cancelled at any time. All commute expenses to the reporting location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.

Pursuant to California Government Code requirements, candidates must be residents of the State of California at the time of appointment.

• $6,521.00 - $8,740.00 for Level D
