Overview
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA), Technology Services Division (TSD) is seeking a highly knowledgeable and skilled Network Architect to join our fast‑paced team. In this role, the successful candidate will act as the lead Network Architect for CDTFA, including all aspects of the enterprise network. The Network Architect will provide guidance to and mentor other members of the network and information technology teams, delegate responsibilities to other Network Administrators, and monitor network performance.
Responsibilities- Lead the enterprise network architecture for CDTFA.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and delegation to Network Administrators and IT team members.
- Monitor network performance and ensure optimal operation.
- Expertise in networking technology, including public cloud networking (Azure and AWS), switching, routing, firewalls, networking concepts, topologies, and technologies.

Working ArrangementsUnder Government Code 14200, this position may be eligible for partial telework for eligible candidates residing in California. All telework/hybrid schedules require staff to report to the office a minimum number of days per week. Schedules are subject to change.
Currently, per the California Budget Act of 2025, all CDTFA salaries are subject to the provisions of the State of California’s Personal Leave Program.
