The Systems Support Manager is responsible for overseeing all information technology, telecommunications, and systems support functions within a high-volume distribution center operating in a 24/7 environment. This position serves as the primary onsite IT leader, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of warehouse technology systems that support daily operations. The Systems Support Manager partners closely with Operations, Inventory, Transportation, Human Resources, and Corporate IT teams to provide technical support, implement technology solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.

- Serve as the primary onsite resource for all warehouse technology systems and infrastructure.
- Maintain network performance, system security, and operational uptime in accordance with company standards.
- Support Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), RF devices, printers, handheld scanners, workstations, and telecommunications equipment.
- Coordinate hardware installations, software deployments, upgrades, and system maintenance activities.
- Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage all local help desk activities and provide escalation support for critical operational issues.
- Troubleshoot software, hardware, networking, and connectivity issues impacting warehouse operations.
- Partner with corporate IT teams and third-party vendors to resolve complex technical challenges.
- Maintain ticketing systems and ensure timely resolution of support requests.
- Ensure technology systems effectively support receiving, inventory control, shipping, transportation, and reporting functions.
- Support RF scanning operations, label printing systems, inventory tracking tools, and operational reporting platforms.
- Assist with testing and implementation of new technologies, system enhancements, and operational projects.
- Support business continuity efforts through system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
- Lead local systems support initiatives and technology-related projects.
- Coordinate with cross-functional departments to prioritize technical support needs.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for technology systems and support processes.
- Provide training and guidance to warehouse leadership and associates on system functionality and best practices.
- Manage technology assets including computers, networking equipment, scanners, printers, and telecommunications devices.
- Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate equipment repairs and replacements.
- Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity, data protection, and IT governance policies.
- Support facility safety, sanitation, and security standards within all technology work areas.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience supporting IT systems in a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
- Experience supporting Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), RF technology, and warehouse infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of networking, telecommunications, hardware, software, and systems troubleshooting.
- Experience managing vendors, projects, and technical implementations.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and operational reporting tools.
- Experience supporting distribution center operations in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of inventory control, logistics, transportation, and warehouse workflows.
- Familiarity with SQL, EDI, reporting tools, and systems integrations.
- Industry certifications related to networking, systems administration, or IT support are a plus.
- Ability to work throughout a warehouse environment, including office and operational areas.
- Ability to lift and move technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb as needed while supporting warehouse operations.
- Distribution center operating in a 24/7 environment.
- Must be flexible to support days, nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency operational needs.
- Occasional after-hours support may be required for system upgrades, maintenance, and business-critical incidents.
- Fast-paced environment requiring strong prioritization, responsiveness, and customer service skills.
