Department Information

The California Department of Social Services’ Information Systems Division (ISD) develops, supports and promotes the business value of information technology. ISD continually improves customer service and provides better decision‑making information for CDSS business units.

Job Description and Duties

The IT FMS will provide administrative support and detailed reporting throughout the contract life cycle of FMS projects in the CDSS Project Oversight & Strategic Technology Branch, assisting the Project Manager in project oversight.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and managing executed contracts during the development life cycle.
  • Drafting contract documents and analyzing contract issues.
  • Facilitating progress evaluation of IT projects.
  • Participating in procurement processes such as RFP and RFO and contract amendments.
  • Co‑ordinating with ISD leadership, IT staff, customers, vendors, and subject matter experts.
Special Requirements

Background investigation clearance and fingerprinting are required before hiring. Candidates must be a California resident or provide proof of residency before appointment.
