Job Description and Duties
This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
Do you have a passion for digital services, automation, and turning data into insight and action? DMV’s Executive Division is seeking a motivated, technology forward IT Associate (Developer) to join a dynamic team in the Intelligent Automation Products Unit. In this role, you will support the quality, reliability, user experience, and accessibility of the DMV’s technology products, with a focus on developing automation solutions and modern integration approaches.
As an IT Associate, you will assist in analyzing technology and business processes, document solutions under the guidance of lead staff, and contribute to development and maintenance activities using both established and emerging technologies. The IT Associate performs foundational software engineering and support duties across the lifecycle of software and automation systems, including assisting with development, configuration, testing, and implementation.
Working closely with senior developers, you will help maintain and troubleshoot software and automation solutions that streamline business processes, connect platforms, and deliver accurate information to decision-makers and customers.

The Salary Range shown is the minimum and maximum for a full‑time appointment. Moving and relocation expenses will not be reimbursed for this position.
