Job Description and Duties

The primary domain for this position is system engineering. The Windows Server Administrator provides support for network systems and server hardware and software support activities, including server configurations, installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting, assigning workload with the team, as well as serving as a resource for technology projects. Responsibilities also include supporting and managing infrastructure within Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
This includes deploying and managing Azure and AWS virtual machines, monitoring cloud resources, maintaining hybrid environments, and assisting with identity and access management through Azure Active Directory and AWS IAM. The position participates in evaluating and implementing cloud technologies to enhance scalability, security, and performance across environments. Duties also include leading technical teams as directed by management and developing management reports related to performance and workload statistics.

- Experience supporting on-premises Active Directory and coordinating with Messaging and Site Services teams to maintain domain health, replication, site topology, and related dependencies
- Ability to design, implement, and maintain security baselines for Entra , Windows Server, and cloud workloads using Microsoft security tools and best practices
- Knowledge of Azure networking and identity components within Landing Zone architectures, including private endpoints, firewall integration, and identity-based access controls
- Experience analyzing sign in logs, audit logs, and security reports from Microsoft Entra
- Experience supporting hybrid identity environments, including Azure AD Connect, cloud sync, federation services, and troubleshooting identity synchronization or authentication issues
- Familiarity with Azure and Entra RBAC, including custom role creation, privileged role assignments, and least privilege governance
- Experience with AWS, including IAM role and policy management, understanding of AWS networking components (VPCs, security groups, route tables), and supporting integrations between AWS and on premises environments
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cloud, security, messaging, and network teams to align configurations with enterprise standards and compliance requirements
- Experience documenting identity, access, and Landing Zone architecture to support long-term operational clarity
- Ability to evaluate and recommend emerging Microsoft Entra and Azure technologies to improve enterprise identity and cloud strategies
- Knowledge and experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining Windows Server hardware and software
- Knowledge of Windows Server monitoring, performance tuning, patching, hardening, and backups/restores
- Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, NTFS permissions, and Terminal Services
- Experience managing both local and remote Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments
- Working knowledge of VMware or other virtualization technologies and supporting virtual server environments
