This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.
The Platform Support Services Group is seeking a highly motivated Enterprise Applications Administrator. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Supervisor II, the Information Technology Specialist I will design, deploy, and maintain complex IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security across the department's vital 24x7 infrastructure. Core responsibilities include designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining software systems. The ITS I collaborates with teams on cloud development using Dev Ops methodologies, optimizes database and system performance, and maintains current documentation for system configurations.
This position involves designing and recommending innovative solutions to support the installation, configuration, and ongoing administration of IT systems, enhancing efficiency, security, operability, and reliability across various technology platforms. The ITS I will collaborate with other technical teams and employ industry best practices to support new technologies, and software development techniques. Additionally, job duties involve vendor and contract management, and contract support, including developing, reviewing, and approving Statements of Work (SOW) for vendor engagements, and procurement activities, contract renewals, ensuring compliance with state regulations and policies, with a focus on securing technology solutions that satisfy the organization's hardware, software, and security needs.
