Who we’re looking forAs our IT Operations Specialist, you will own the reliability, security, and performance of Cap Radio’s core tech landscape. You’ll manage the full lifecycle of our IT infrastructure—from researching and designing new systems to keeping servers, networks, and workstations running smoothly across all of our facilities.
You bring a balance of heavy-lifting backend system administration and hands-on, proactive desktop support. By combining technical expertise with a service-oriented mindset, you'll create a seamless technology experience for our staff and protect the continuity of our broadcasts and daily operations.
Position responsibilities- Perform installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting for all Cap Radio users and devices, including laptops, desktops and cell phones.
- Monitor and respond to help tickets alongside Operations.
- Serve as primary liaison between Cap Radio and Sacramento State IRT Department.
- Develop and maintain technology related policies and guidelines that support compliance, security, company goals and fiscal responsibilities of Cap Radio.
- Assist Studio Operations team with installation of local servers, hardware and software maintenance and upgrades for broadcast equipment.
- Maintain asset inventory system and conduct annual audit of all Cap Radio assets.
- Research, planning, deployment and maintenance of software for Cap Radio business and broadcast operations
- Identify and patch information system and security vulnerabilities on Cap Radio servers and studio systems.
- Provide training, technical advice and help to staff as required.
- Follow industry standards and CSUS IRT standards on all projects and products used.
- Occasional on-call support for IT related issues
- Demonstrated history of understanding and managing of computers, software, servers, networks, storage devices, security, and telecommunications.
- Able to work as a team member and independently
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills.
- Able to demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize tasks and projects
- 5+ years experience working in IT operations.
- 5+ years of Windows troubleshooting and repair.
- Ability to find and fix errors independently

- Must be a licensed driver, insurable with own transportation, able to work remotely at any time.
Cap Radio requires employment and education verification of new hires.
LocationThis position is primary on-site in Sacramento. Hybrid arrangements are available.
