UW Technician California What You’ll Do

This position assists the Underwriting team in the review of risks already insured by Honeycomb Insurance. The position reviews Loss Control/Property Inspections, determines the applicable required improvements and works with agents and insureds to confirm remedy of the improvement area. Additional responsibility areas include assisting in special projects, processing of endorsements, working with Engineering teams in regards to property inspection technology and providing insight based on professional and personal experience to the team.

Work is performed to train in functions and job roles of the Underwriter position, with the goal of transition.

Basic Requirements
  • 2 Years of Professional or internship experience in a business, construction or customer service oriented field.
  • Adaptable to regular process changes and technology updates
  • Ability to solve problems analytically
  • Capable of executing a range of diverse tasks, prioritizing, and efficiently managing time
  • Ability to apply personal knowledge to risk review. Is the imaging provided that of a livable and safe space.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build trust, establish rapport, and effectively de-escalate customer issues.
  • Integrity, commitment, and drive to deliver a positive, differentiated service
