Job SummaryThe Property & Casualty Claims Manager oversees the Claims team, managing accountabilities in the administration of property & casualty claims. This leadership and supervisory role manages processes, training, and collaboration among Claims Advocates, operational sales support, and client‑related services. The manager may also serve as a Claims Advocate, interpreting claims analysis, advocating for clients, and collaborating with adjusters, lawyers, and insurance companies.
Duties & Responsibilities- Manage and mentor claims representatives across multiple offices.
- Ensure client questions and concerns are addressed promptly.
- Develop, implement, and enforce property & casualty claims procedures, processes, and reporting practices.
- Handle high‑profile clients’ claims for top 200 accounts.
- Build trust with external and internal executive teams through direct interactions and presentations.
- Meet with clients to discuss reserve adequacy and proper claims handling.
- Provide and support clients with claims solutions specific to their business operations.
- Assist clients in managing potential exposures and risks.
- Coordinate claim reviews with insurance carriers and/or TPAs.
- Assist with marketing and sales of claims management services to prospective new accounts.
- Communicate and strategize with insureds, carriers, TPAs, adjusters, attorneys, etc., to facilitate settlement.
- Review policies to determine coverage for appropriate reporting.
- Read summons, leases, and contracts to determine proper handling of claims and liability.
- Maintain a diary of files for follow‑up and document all follow‑ups via notes in the database.
- Maintain accurate and organized claim files, updating all HUB computer systems and automated agency management systems.
- Create and maintain claim trending, lags, and loss analysis reports of complex claims.
- Navigate various carrier databases.
- Interact hands‑on with account service units.
- Review carrier coverage position letters and create correspondence disputing the carrier position as appropriate.
- Act as a liaison to other offices regarding distribution of work/claims.
- Lead integration of acquired claims personnel and operations into HUB’s standards and workflows.
- Act as a resource for problem escalation and communication with all necessary parties.
- Answer team member questions, help with problems, oversee work for quality and guideline compliance, and provide feedback and training opportunities.
- Conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports and assist in budgeting and operational expense monitoring.
- Conduct team meetings to update members on best practices, expectations, assignments, and responsibilities.
- Develop and execute product, service, and technical training programs, set departmental expectations, standards, policies, and conduct periodic audits.

- 10+ years of property & casualty claims adjustment experience (brokerage preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Property & Casualty License preferred.
