Paper Supply Chain Analyst

Role SummaryGolden West Packaging Group is looking for a motivated Paper Supply Chain Analyst to join our Sacramento team. You will gain hands‑on experience in procurement support, inventory management, and forecasting review while growing your skillset on the job.
Key Responsibilities Procurement- Prepare RFQs, analyze bids, and draft PO recommendations with paper suppliers.
- Maintain and assist with PPW/RISI price‑movement updates.
- Track orders/ETAs; resolve pricing and quantity discrepancies with AP and suppliers.
- Build and refresh grade/site usage forecasts; monitor accuracy (MAPE/WAPE) and bias.
- Recommend safety stock, min/max, and reorder points by site/grade.
- Partner with Plants, Scheduling, Estimating, and Sales to align near‑/mid‑term supply plans.
- Assign rolls and leverage inventory for potential alternative materials.
- Monitor roll inventory health (age, slow/excess); coordinate transfers and dispositions.
- Maintain item/grade master data.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, Data/Analytics, or related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of experience.
- Strong Excel skills (pivots, lookups, nested formulas); comfort with large datasets.
- Clear, concise communicator; highly organized with a bias for action and collaboration.
- Hands‑on experience in procurement, inventory control, and supply chain analytics.
- Exposure to supplier management and real‑world planning processes.
- Mentorship and development under the Director of Supply Chain.

- Financial acumen (price/volume/PPV, freight, total landed cost).
- Forecasting fundamentals (MAPE/WAPE, safety stock, lead‑time variability).
