Job Description The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for developing, administering and supervising a coordinated supply support system that operates efficiently and meets the needs of the hospital. Develops policies and procedures in purchasing, inventory control, storage, receiving, and distribution of supplies, equipment and services. Coordinates development of hospital-wide capital budget, maintaining close relationships with equipment vendors, various departments, and Corporate Supply Chain.
Ensures compliance with Corporate Supply Chain and Group Purchasing rules and regulations. Responsible for driving compliance and conversions through facility level Value Analysis Committee (VAC).
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing bids with product specifications and working with vendors on pricing and lead times.
Controlling and maintaining records of hospital equipment including receipts, transfers, and disposals.
Reviewing inventory to make sure there are no out of date items. Maintaining optimal inventory levels and reducing excessive surplus.
Maintaining vendor contracts and compliance.
Managing the Supply Chain team and setting performance expectations.
Oversite for departmental budget use.
Managing all functions of local Supply Chain, including:
Receiving, Mail, Storeroom, and PAR locations.
Managing local Capital, NRR, and Service Agreement contract processes.
Maintaining GPO compliance by monitoring facility item purchases.
Developing and maintaining a close relationship with various local departments including nursing direct Operating Room support through management of a Supply Chain Coordinator.
Working directly with Headquarters SCM to drive system level changes.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Minimum 5 years in purchasing, inventory control, contracting, office management, budgeting and distribution of supplies of equivalent.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or similar major.
Experience working in a hospital or the medical field
The pay range for this position is $49.29 - $73.94/hour.
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
