Job Summary

The Operational Process Manager supports Canteen’s Micro‑Market, Vending, and Refreshment Services operations by driving process standardization, inventory optimization, inventory auditing and project management. This role partners closely with District General Manager, Warehouse Managers, and Operational Managers to improve profitability, service consistency, and client satisfaction across multi‑site operations.

Key Responsibilities Route & Field Operations Optimization
  • Inventory audits and corrections, Planogram analysis and adjustments, improving profitability and efficiency and reduce cost‑to‑serve.
  • Develop standardized best practices SOPs for back‑of‑house weekly/monthly practices.
  • Support implementation of route optimization tools and technology platforms.
  • Monitor service compliance, fill rates, and in‑stock performance.
Inventory & Supply Chain Process Management
  • Improve route and inventory audits.
  • Reduce shrink, spoilage, and obsolete inventory through improved forecasting and inventory controls.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to optimize SKU assortment and category performance.
  • Drive consistency in Micro‑Market planograms and vending product standards.
Micro‑Market Execution & Merchandising
  • Ensure compliance with pricing, signage, and project execution.
  • Support rollout of new market concepts, equipment upgrades, and technology enhancements.
  • Monitor cashless payment system performance and reconciliation processes.
Data & Performance Management
  • Track KPIs such as route profitability, spoilage, shrink, labor efficiency, sales per stop, and service frequency compliance.
  • Develop actionable dashboards to support district‑level decision making.
  • Identify underperforming routes and recommend corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement & Change Management
  • Lead Lean and process improvement initiatives across branch operations.
  • Support new business openings, acquisitions, and operational transitions.
  • Develop training materials and process documentation (SOPs).
  • Partner with leadership to drive adoption of new operational standards.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure adherence to food safety, safety protocols, and Compass standards.
  • Support audit readiness and corrective action implementation.
  • Monitor cash accountability and loss‑prevention procedures.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years in route‑based, vending, or distribution operations.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse‑to‑route workflows.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with operational dashboards.
  • Proven ability to manage cross‑functional initiatives.
Preferred
  • Experience in Micro‑Market, Vending, or Office Coffee/Refreshment Services.
  • Lean or Six Sigma certification.
  • Inventory management systems, or POS platforms.
  • Knowledge of P&L management in multi‑site environments.
