Position: Workers' Compensation Claims Program Manager | Sacramento, CA
PRIMARY PURPOSE
:
To manage all aspects of client’s large-loss and high-profile worker’s compensation program to ensure regulatory compliance and that contractual performance standards are met by their TPAs. To provide members with resources for workers’ compensation information that help them understand the complexities of the system, enhance communication with TPAs, and provide tools to manage workers’ compensation costs.
- Conducts large-loss and high-profile case monitoring, on-site, online and by report.
- Researches and manages the RFP process for third party administrators (TPA) services based on client needs for their Workers’ Compensation program.
- Ensures compliance with performance standards, requirements, and all state, federal and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintains client relationships by monitoring ancillary vendors and addressing service concerns with providers, coordinating vendor transitions.
- Develops and maintains workers' compensation management resources for members and staff, including research, discussion, and presentation to applicable parties.
- Conducts oversight reviews for adherence to contract compliance, technical standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identifies and develops training programs related to oversight needs; designs training plans and materials and delivers training that meets business needs, objectives, strategies, and policies.
- Manages the program for excess claims, including accurate and current reporting, reserves, compliance, payments, and settlement.
- Monitors legislation and changes in state and federal laws and communicates impact on workers’ compensation programs or TPA services to clients.
- Presents at client board meetings, associations, or other public events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Licensing
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience
Seven to nine (7-9) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

As required by law, Sedgwick provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in jurisdictions requiring pay transparency in job postings. For the jurisdiction noted in this job posting only, the range of starting pay for this role is $100,000 to $105,000 USD annual salary.
