Engineering & Maintenance Shift Supervisor (2 Openings)

Sacramento, CA | On-site | Shift-based (24/7 manufacturing support)

A rapidly growing pharmaceutical manufacturing organization is seeking 2
Engineering & Maintenance Shift Supervisors to lead maintenance operations supporting a state-of-the-art sterile fill-finish facility
. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving equipment reliability, regulatory compliance, and team performance in a fast-paced GMP environment.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead and supervise shift activities for facilities, utilities, and process equipment
  • Manage and develop a multi-disciplinary maintenance team
  • Troubleshoot and optimize sterile fill-finish equipment (vial, bag, PFS filling lines, autoclaves, formulation systems)
  • Oversee operation & maintenance of boilers, chillers, compressors, HVAC, AHUs, PW, WFI, and pure steam systems
  • Implement reliability and cost-reduction initiatives (RCM, risk-based maintenance, Lean/Six Sigma)
  • Drive preventive &
    predictive maintenance programs
  • Ensure cGMP / GxP compliance through inspections, SOPs, and documentation
  • Support equipment start-up, commissioning, and construction activities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience OR Master’s degree with 5+ years of experience
  • Background in pharma/biotech engineering & maintenance
  • Experience in sterile manufacturing / fill-finish
  • Knowledge of GMP, GxP
    , and regulatory standards
  • Strong leadership, troubleshooting, and organizational skills
  • Ability to gown and work in controlled environments
