Position: Quality Tech II (Mechanical Inspection & CMM)

Paragon Products LLC is seeking a hands‑on Quality Technician II to support mechanical inspection activities in our manufacturing operation. This role focuses on dimensional inspection of machined components and assemblies using conventional precision measurement tools and a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM).

Position Summary

The Quality Technician II performs receiving, in‑process, first article, and final inspection of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T
  • Perform receiving, in‑process, and final inspection of machined components and assemblies
  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and follow‑up inspections
  • Operate CMM equipment to verify dimensional compliance
  • Calipers
  • Micrometers
  • Plug and thread gauges
  • Optical comparator
  • Profilmeter
  • Document inspection results and record non‑conformances accurately
  • Assist with calibration coordination and perform in‑house mechanical calibration as needed
  • Provide backup support across quality functions

Electro‑mechanical or electronics inspection experience is helpful, but this position is primarily mechanical inspection.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience performing mechanical/dimensional inspection in a manufacturing environment
  • Hands‑on experience using precision measurement tools listed above
  • Experience operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) required
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Technical Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems preferred
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Good or corrected vision for detailed inspection work
  • Work performed in a manufacturing/shop environment
