Location:

Sacramento, CA (Plant) – Acetylene production & filling

• Pay: $22.00/hr.
• Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

• Inspect cylinders prior to filling following established procedures.
• Perform a variety of safety checks such as odor tests and inspecting caps and valves.
• Review products for purity and correct mixtures to ensure excellence.
• Maintain high‑pressure, medical, and liquid cylinders.
• Prepare high‑pressure cylinders and cryogenic vessels for filling.
• Attach cylinders to the manifold and prepare vessels for fill to ensure highest quality.
• Fill cylinders by pressure and weight per regulations and standards.
• Collaborate on loading and unloading of cylinders on pallets and tractor trailers.
• Operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
• Maintain accurate records to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards and complete quality control sheets as required.
• Apply knowledge of safety protocols regarding various gases, cylinder sizes, and contents.
• Accurately label cylinders.
• Ensure harmony with all government and company standards for safely handling hazardous materials and cylinder gases.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly plant appearance.
• Support any reasonable work request that falls within qualifications.

• Complete training and obtain certifications for filling all cryogenic liquids and pure industrial gases.
• Complete FDA, Food Grade, and CGMP training and earn the required certifications.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of prior manufacturing or filling experience.
• Background in gas, welding, safety supply industry, or chemical industry.
• Forklift operation certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
• Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Basic arithmetic skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Follow up on forklift safety procedures.
