Job Description & How to Apply Below

VAER is an independent American watch company designing and assembling watches across a variety of movement platforms. As our US assembly operation grows, we are looking for another Watch Assembly Technician to join our production team.

This is a remote bench position focused on watch assembly, casing, component inspection, and final quality control. The technician will receive production kits containing the movements and components needed to assemble complete watches.

This is primarily an assembly and quality control role rather than traditional movement servicing or restoration.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Assemble and case quartz, solar quartz, meca quartz, and automatic watches
  • Inspect incoming cases, dials, hands, movements, and other components for cosmetic or functional defects before assembly
  • Perform final quality control including hand alignment, date alignment, function checks, cosmetic inspection, and final cleaning
  • Maintain accurate component counts and keep production batches organized and separated
  • Document and communicate component defects and recurring assembly issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized bench and accurate production records
  • Work directly with the VAER production and quality teams to improve assembly and QC procedures

Experience in watch assembly, casing, watchmaking, or similar precision bench work preferred

Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Comfortable working with small and delicate watch components

Ability to maintain consistent quality across production batches

Strong organization and ability to manage numerous component types without mixing parts or batches

Dedicated workspace suitable for precision watch assembly and the ability to securely receive and manage production inventory

Experience with watchmaking tools and magnification equipment preferred

Formal watchmaking education or certification through AWCI, WOSTEP, SAWTA, or an equivalent program is a plus, but not required
