Join Siemens Mobility and help build the future of transportation. As a Precision Manufacturing Technician (CNC), you'll work hands-on with advanced manufacturing equipment to produce high-quality components used in passenger rail vehicles that connect communities across North America.

Whether you're an experienced CNC operator or have a strong machining, fabrication, manufacturing, or trade school background, this role offers the opportunity to grow your skills while working with cutting-edge technology in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

What your day may look like:
  • Operate and set up CNC equipment and other precision manufacturing tools to create components used in rail transportation systems.
  • Read blueprints, work instructions, and technical drawings to machine, modify, and repair parts to exact specifications.
  • Use advanced inspection equipment, including CMMs, FARO Arms, micrometers, and gauges, to verify product quality and accuracy.
  • Work alongside engineers, technicians, and production teams to solve manufacturing challenges and improve processes.
  • Support a safe, organized, and efficient production environment while contributing to products that move millions of people every day.

What will make you successful in this role:
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training, machining certificate, or trade school education is a plus.
  • Experience in machining, fabrication, manufacturing, production, CNC operation, or related skilled trades.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
  • Comfortable using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and dial indicators.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The physical demands described here are representative of those necessary to successfully perform the essential job duties:

  • Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders
  • Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
  • Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

The starting hourly rate for this position is $23.40-$31.66 plus 10% shift differential for second shift. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
