Job Summary
The AN1 Service Line Support Nurse provides administrative coordination, support, and resource management to specific surgical specialties to which the RN is assigned. The role works collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure efficient throughput of the service line, acting as a mentor and preceptor for clinical and non‑clinical staff while completing administrative tasks. The RN assists with nursing oversight, manages multiple high‑priority tasks, and serves as a conduit between peri‑operative team members and other stakeholders to deliver excellent surgical care.

Minimum Qualifications- Three (3) years recent scrub and circulating RN experience in a similar OR setting performing complex procedures, including one (1) year experience in assigned area.
- Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction.
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR.
- CNOR Certification within six (6) months of hire date.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to utilize medical terminology appropriately.
- Knowledge of current trends in nursing.
- Commitment to excellence in patient care.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates accountability and professionalism.

- CNOR Certification upon hire.
- Masters of Science in Nursing.
- Five (5) years recent scrub and circulating RN experience in a similar OR setting performing complex procedures, including one (2) year experience in assigned area.

Surgical care is provided across the entire life spectrum, including a wide range of inpatient and ambulatory surgical specialties (ACS Level 1 Trauma, Bariatric, Burn, Cardiac, Colorectal, Endocrine, ENT, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic Trauma, Orthopedic – Spine, Foot & Ankle, Hand & Hand Trauma, Otolaryngology, Pain, Plastics, Robotics, Thoracic, Transplant, Vascular, Urology, Uro‑Gyn).
The Children’s Surgery Center offers comprehensive care in an age‑appropriate setting.
This position directly supports peri‑operative patients across the UC Davis Health campus.
