• One year of recent experience as an ER RN
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA/ARC) certifications
• Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse delivers rapid‑response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering life‑saving treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments per approved emergency nursing protocols
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout their time in the emergency department, responding to immediate needs
• Observe and document patient conditions as required within scope of practice
• Take and monitor vital signs, using clinical judgment to address deviations and prevent complications
• Respond to life‑saving situations based on emergency nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs, considering the acute nature of emergency care
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, specialists, paramedics, social workers, and other support staff) to ensure comprehensive care
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards

• Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills

• Physical:
  Must be able to remain stationary, move equipment (50–100 lb), push, pull, and bend
• Interpersonal:
  Effective collaboration with a variety of personnel, positive attitude, professionalism
• Technical/Motor:
  Grasp, fine manipulation, push/pull, move when assisting with procedures or equipment
• Mental:
  Handle frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines under pressure, work under close supervision or independently, manage irregular schedules, maintain continuous concentration to detail
