Job Summary
Provide independent advanced level nurse practitioner clinical expertise to patients and their families on an ongoing basis. This includes management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and specialty protocols (e.g., chemotherapy) as defined by standardized procedures or independently based on licensure. May include non‑invasive or invasive procedures, surgical procedures, including operative first assist per approved standardized procedures.
Patient management decisions are independent where appropriate after assessment of the patient and interdependent with consultation with an attending or other team member. NPs act as an expert resource for nurses, residents, and ancillary staff.

Minimum Qualifications- One (1) year of recent experience as a nurse practitioner in a hospital setting
- Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction
- California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License
- California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction
- DEA Certificate within 3 months of hire
- American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR
- National NP board certification in aligned specialty with the practice area
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 7 days of hire
- Pediatric Life Support (PALS) within 7 days of hire
- Graduation with a master’s degree, DNP or PhD in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
- Ability to cope with personal stress experienced by team members, other professionals, and caretakers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Judgement skills to effectively meet the needs of patients
- Self‑direction and organizational skills to function in an independent role
- Ability to meet minimum standards for hospital credentialing and billing standards as a billable provider
- Salary or Pay Range: $92.07 – $121.51 per hour
