A bit about us

We are working with a healthcare education organization that prepares future nurses for real clinical practice, not textbook-only theory that evaporates the second someone walks onto a unit.

This is a strong fit for an experienced RN who has thought, “I could teach this better than the way I learned it,” but never seriously explored education because every instructor posting seemed to require years of teaching experience. This one does not.

You will be working with ASN students in a mix of classroom instruction and clinical/preceptor-based learning. The organization needs nurses who can bring current bedside or field experience into the room and help students understand what the job actually looks like when the shift gets busy, the patient load gets real, and the textbook answer needs clinical judgment behind it.

If you are burned out from patient care but not burned out from nursing, this is the lane. You still use your clinical brain. You still make an impact. You just get to do it with a more predictable Monday through Friday schedule and fewer “surprise, your assignment changed again” moments.

Why join us
  • Compensation up to $131K per year, with the strongest fit likely landing in the $116K–$118K range without prior teaching experience
  • Full-time Monday through Friday schedule, which is a major quality-of-life shift for nurses coming out of nights, weekends, holidays, or constantly changing schedules
  • No formal teaching experience required if your clinical background is strong and recent
  • Multiple full-time openings, so this is not a “maybe someday” hiring need
  • A real career pivot out of direct patient care without leaving nursing behind
  • Teach ASN students who need practical, real-world clinical guidance, not someone reading slides in a monotone voice while everyone silently loses the will to live
  • Mix of classroom and clinical/precepting work, so the role is not stuck in one setting all day
  • Open to several nursing specialties, including med-surg, psych, behavioral health, home health, and other relevant clinical backgrounds
  • Recent clinical experience matters more than academic pedigree, as long as you have the MSN and the right RN background
  • A chance to shape new nurses before bad habits become permanent furniture
  • More predictable work life than traditional bedside nursing, especially for someone tired of rotating schedules, weekend pressure, and constant staffing chaos
  • Meaningful work with long-term impact, because every student you help train becomes part of the future nursing workforce
  • Strong fit for nurses who like mentoring, explaining, coaching, and helping others connect the dots clinically
  • A professional next step for experienced RNs who are ready to be valued for judgment, experience, and communication, not just how many fires they can put out in one shift
Job Details WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Teach nursing students in a mix of classroom, lab, and clinical/preceptor-based learning environments
  • Help ASN students understand nursing concepts, clinical judgment, patient care, documentation, safety, and professional expectations
  • Bring recent real-world clinical experience into instruction so students understand how nursing works beyond the textbook
  • Support student progress through coaching, feedback, practical examples, and skills reinforcement
  • Collaborate with academic and clinical teams to keep students on track and prepared for the realities of nursing practice
  • Help develop confident, competent future nurses who are ready to step into patient care with more than memorized answers
SKILLS YOU NEED
  • Required:

    Active RN license and MSN
  • Required:

Recent nursing experience within the last 3 years
  • Required:

Clinical background in nursing, with specialties such as med-surg, psych, behavioral health, home health, or related areas considered
  • Preferred:
Prior teaching, precepting, training, mentoring, charge nurse, or clinical education experience, but formal teaching experience is not required
