Position SummaryThe Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in managing and directing nursing department operations.
- Support and supervise nursing staff, including RNs, LVNs, and CNAs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, and infection control programs.
- Assist with staff training, mentoring, scheduling, and performance management.
- Participate in surveys, audits, and plan of correction implementation.
- Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care.
- Support admissions, care planning, and clinical documentation processes.
- Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
- Previous nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, CA Department of Public Health requirements, and long-term care operations.
- Experience with quality improvement and survey readiness.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with staff, residents, and families.
- Results-driven clinical leader with strong operational skills.
