Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 annually (DOE)

North Pointe Care Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our leadership team. Position Summary

The Assistant Director of Nursing assists the Director of Nursing in overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department. This role helps ensure the delivery of high-quality resident care, regulatory compliance, staff development, survey readiness, and operational excellence throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing and directing nursing department operations
  • Support, mentor, and supervise RNs, LVNs, and CNAs
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor quality measures, clinical outcomes, and infection prevention programs
  • Assist with staff training, scheduling, coaching, and performance management
  • Participate in surveys, audits, and implementation of plans of correction
  • Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families
  • Support admissions, care planning, and clinical documentation processes
  • Promote accountability, teamwork, and resident-centered care
  • Assist with quality improvement initiatives and best-practice implementation
Qualifications Required
  • Current and unrestricted California Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Nursing leadership experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Post-Acute Care, Rehabilitation, or Long-Term Care setting
  • Strong knowledge of CMS regulations and California Department of Public Health requirements
  • Experience with survey readiness, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with staff, residents, and families
Preferred
  • Previous experience as an ADON, Nurse Manager, Unit Manager, Clinical Supervisor, or Nursing Supervisor
  • Experience improving Quality Measures (QMs) and clinical outcomes
  • Proven success mentoring and developing nursing teams
