- A cat lounge – all are welcome to visit, stay for a coffee, and take a purrfect break
- Adoption options – our lounge supports the local shelter and encourages feline fans to find their next family member. Over 60 cats adopted in our first year!

- Salary $150,000 – $180,000 per year (negotiable)

- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited university
- Active California veterinary license in good standing
- Willingness to become Cat Friendly and Fear Free Certified
- Preferred: 1 or more years of clinical experience
- Ability to perform OVHs, neuters, mass removals, and other common procedures

About Cat TalesCat Tales is the only Fear Free, Cat Friendly feline health center in Davis, CA. Opened in December 2024, it is independently owned by two seasoned veterinarians – Julie Cole Shacoski and Chris “Shac” Shacoski. The practice focuses on helping all cats flourish through leisurely appointments that allow time for building relationships, thorough examinations, and personalized care plans. We partner with the local shelter to enable feline fans to find their next family member and have helped 60 cats find new homes in the past year.
We also offer grooming and medical boarding for existing clients.
