The pay range for this position is $18.50–$25.50 paid hourly, offers will be based on the successful candidate’s experience.
Roleand Responsibilities
Receiving Technician III is responsible for the interpretation of client chain‑of‑custody forms and entry into the LIMS database, using the login functions as well as acclimating new receiving techs.
- Follows all established standard operating procedures for the implementation of sample‑receiving functions.
- Receives samples from shipments and walk‑in clients and completes chain‑of‑custody documentation.
- Provides a point‑of‑contact information source for clients regarding sampling, bottle orders, and the sample‑receiving process.
- Enters all chain‑of‑custody information into LIMS, including bottle and sample information, client information and requests, and selects profiles and tests.
- Completes bottle integrity forms, rush request forms, and prints confirmation reports. Organizes and completes paperwork packages, by submission, for review and filing in the in‑process submission filing system.
- Assists with training and mentors new receiving clerks.
- Provides back‑up support to sample‑receiving manager.
- Other duties as assigned by Sample Receiving Supervisor.
- Associated degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years of applicable experience in laboratory setting.
- 7 years of experience can substitute for degree requirement at manager’s preference.
