Quality Inspector 2- Rolling Stock

Position Overview

The Quality Inspector 2 is a vital member of our quality assurance team, dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the quality standards of our products and processes. This role involves performing critical non‑routine inspections and tests on a diverse range of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials. The Quality Inspector 2 operates independently, handling complex inspection processes that require specialized setups and the interpretation of test data from multiple sources.

• Inspection and Testing:
  Conduct critical visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and functional inspections on components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials.
• Independent Inspection Work:
  Perform complex inspection processes independently, including special set‑ups and interpretation of test data from multiple sources.
• First‑Article and Vendor Inspections:
  Conduct first‑article inspections and perform source inspections at local vendors as required.
• Quality Reporting and Analysis:
  Prepare inspection reports, charts and records; conduct simple statistical analysis to support quality measures and conformance status.
• Continuous Improvement and Support:
  Lead root‑cause evaluations and corrective actions, validate purchased products, maintain 6S standards, submit maintenance requests and order department supplies as needed.

• High school diploma (or GED).
• Interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.

Candidates should be willing to work in non‑climate‑controlled environments and inclement weather if required or if applicable.
