As an Inspector I, you will work alongside other Siemens and Customer Resident Inspectors to ensure that vehicles meet contract configuration requirements and comply with all applicable technical specifications. Your role is critical in maintaining quality standards and supporting successful project delivery and specification.
What your day may look like:- Perform complex electro‑mechanical inspections throughout production, assembly, and final acceptance to ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and workmanship requirements.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, functional, and test inspections on components, assemblies, equipment, and systems, identifying defects and non‑conformances.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, inspection criteria, and test data to evaluate product quality and verify requirements are met.
- Investigate, document, and disposition discrepant material while supporting corrective actions and ensuring compliance with quality processes and part‑flow requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Assembly, Engineering, Quality Management, customers, and suppliers to resolve quality issues, support first‑article inspections, and drive continuous improvement.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Understanding of inspection methods and equipment, and the ability to perform complex shop mathematics.
- Ability to interpret and use blueprints, specs, engineering drawings, electrical schematics, material lists, and inspection standards.
- Requires a minimum of one‑year experience of interfacing with quality functions.
- Must tolerate working near moving mechanical parts, in high or precarious places, outdoors, and be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and electrical shock. Noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
- Available to work overtime.
- Frequently walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Frequently required to climb stairs, steps, and ladders.
- Frequently required to work on elevated platforms.
- Occasionally lift and move at most 40 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

The pay for this position is $23.01 – $31.12 per hour, plus an additional 10% shift differential for second shift. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
