Loss Prevention Agent

UNIQLO Loss Prevention is responsible for maintaining a safe shopping environment for all customers and employees. The Loss Prevention Agent plays a critical role in inventory management and shortage reduction, performing daily tasks focused on safety, inventory management, and shortage reduction. The agent reports to the Loss Prevention Manager and Store Manager, serving as a protection and safety specialist for our stores.

• Train store team members on loss prevention and safety policies, procedures, and standards, ensuring compliance from all staff and notifying store management of any violations.
• Ensure the loss prevention team can successfully identify, apprehend, and detain shoplifters by following company guidelines.
• Build productive relationships with store leadership and associates, lead awareness efforts, and generate leads for internal investigations.
• Focus on the importance of proper inventory management and educate the team on proper procedures.
• Inspect compliance with company safety policy and procedures through store visits, providing direction and training to correct opportunities.
• Identify safety or loss risks, immediately notifying store and loss prevention management to prevent accidents.
• Support loss prevention management with audits and inventory counts while maintaining confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with special projects as assigned.

• Strong knowledge of computer applications, including security software, CCTV equipment, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local law.
• Knowledge of surveillance/security equipment and installations.
• Ability to travel to stores within the assigned area.
• Ability to work extended periods of standing or walking the sales floor as required.

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods, read computer terminals, push, pull, or move objects of at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, with repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.

Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets business needs, including nights, evenings, and weekends.
