Overview of the RoleThe Grocery Merchandiser will manage their assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks, taking pictures, and completing reporting requirements using the provided technology. The position requires merchandising, bending, lifting up to 50 pounds, and other physical demands.
Location:
Sacramento, CA (within a 40‑60 mile radius).
This position is full time, 37.5 hours a week.
Compensation: $20 hourly, based on experience, qualifications, and skills.
Key responsibilities include selling, merchandising, gaining and maintaining distribution in a variety of accounts, ensuring products are well stocked, placing orders for out‑of‑stock items, using mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communicating with store teams.

- Gain and maintain product distribution by establishing strong relationships with store teams.
- Order products, move products to shelves from new orders, and perform other merchandising tasks.
- Conduct audits in local grocery stores.
- Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
- Verify that client products are accurately represented on store shelves.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Adhere to dress code and attendance guidelines.
- Stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly; lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Operate in a fast‑paced retail environment with minimal supervision.
- Comply with additional guidelines set by the Store Team.
- Attend client kickoff video calls and team check‑ins as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Reliable phone (within 5 years old) and internet service for daily communication.
- Ability to drive to stores in the assigned territory to complete retail tasks and audits.
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions independently.
- Previous retail, sales, or merchandising experience is a plus but not required.
